Dunes' Kiss
Dunes' Kiss, a new line within Beachtreasures, is created using a unique process.
Sea wormwood
This small plant, with its silvery leaves and small bulbs that turn a soft yellow in autumn, grows in the dunes of Egmond. This plant inspired a new line from Beachtreasures, Dunes' Kiss.
Drying
Before Jasca can get started, the plant must first be dried. What remains is a delicate, fragile, but also beautiful dried bouquet.
Templates
A very difficult part of the process is preserving the plant in all its details in a mold. The plant is pressed into the wax, and then a mold is made from it.
Was
Hot wax is then injected into the molds, and Jasca then selects which wax models are suitable for use. The essence of the plant must still be clearly visible. Jasca then creates compositions with the wax models to shape the jewelry. This makes each piece unique.
To pour
The wax models are cast in silver or gold, and then the raw pieces are worked. Jasca then decides what she'll do with the pieces, such as adding a stone or opening up a section.
Polishing
Finally, Jasca polishes the piece of jewelry so that the different shapes stand out and shine beautifully.
